The Online Platform for the intercultural dialogue "Intercultural Dialogue" (further- Online Platform) is an innovative project implemented for the first time in the world, which aims to create an online space that includes a lot of composite information-publications, textual, visual, audio, graphic and interactive materials, links related to intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding.

Creation of content is an important part of the project, which implies cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary participation of researchers, teachers, methodologists, youth, students, schoolchildren, and other users. Since the main areas, including UNESCO's main priorities, are related to culture, education, research, information / communications, they are also reflected on the platform. Each of them presents its own mechanisms, through which the basic concepts of intercultural dialogue are revealed. For example, projects and initiatives reflecting creativity, culture of debate, familiarity with other cultures; competition of ideas; the formation of resource databases for future research to help students and teachers, etc.

Thus, a specially developed online resource includes the following sections for education and work on intercultural dialogue:
E-learning: an interactive textbook on Intercultural Dialogue for school children of 5-7 grades, methodological materials for teachers and curricula.
Electronic resources: audio, video and photo materials, articles, webinars, and a digital library.
Ideas Laboratory: a section for online brainstorming, research and project development.

The Online Platform is designed not only to build the capacity of school children and improve their skills, but also to create youth networks in research and development of initiatives to strengthen and promote intercultural dialogue within the region.

As part of the launch of the Online Platform project, a number of methodological seminars for teachers of urban and rural schools will be held. Moreover, it is planned to translate the contents of the platform into Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik and Uzbek languages. This project is also inclusive in terms of the possibility of teaching children at home or in institutions for children with special needs. On request, staff of such institutions can also be trained in seminars on using the online platform.

The project will make a significant contribution to the implementation of UNESCO's programs, such as the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity (2001), the UNESCO International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013-2022), etc., in particular through the development of digital infrastructure, education, research, capacity building.
